There's so much locally for painters, I don't have to go far from my home for great subject matter. I'm inspired by the daily painters...something to aim for!. Acrylic 6 x 6.
Sunlight casting shadows on an old wooden fence...lots of deep snow. this painting was inspired from a photo I took behind my cousins farmhouse just north of Toronto. Acrylic 8 x 11.
I love to travel...anytime, anywhere! I am forever taking pictures when I don't have time to sit and paint. This little painting is from a photo I took in Carmel, California about eight years ago. I think the house was a local attraction...very charming...I loved the blue building with the red flowers... nice combination. Acrylic 5 x 7.
I live a short walk from the shores of Lake Ontario. This was the scene a couple of weeks ago....there is now a thin layer of snow covering the fallen leaves. acrylic...30 x 30.
I love the sea... I could spend hours watching the waves and dreaming the day away.... The best way for me to attempt to capture it is by painting on a large canvas...this one is acrylic.... 30 x 30.
Winter...a great time for painting and writing and thinking about how much I love the summer!
Welcome! My name is Anne. I have been an artist all my life...illustrating, designing, painting commissioned portraits in pastel and watercolor, selling paintings on ebay ranging from tiny miniatures to large acrylics. I studied art at the School of Art and Design in Montreal(many years ago) and more recently at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. I've also taught adult art classes locally. I'm constantly fascinated by the effects of light and shadows on the landscape and I take every opportunity to travel and paint and photograph.I hope you enjoy my paintings...I welcome comments ... don't be shy!
